What is vicardo? |

A: |
vicardo shall force the important social contact between business- or private persons. This aspect is of high importance, in a big world which is growing together more and more, day by day, especially if different cultures meet together.
It is only an advantage, if the one who is opposed to you, knows some normal things about you, like your birthday, your interests, how you look like, etc….
How helpful vicardo can be, shall be shown in the view of two daily examples, that happened to the one or other person, and that are by far not anymore particular cases. |

Example 1:
Mr. B. Johnson from New York is since a few years a successful sales manager of a company acting worldwide. To his fields of his job he also has to find and follow up for new and long-standing business partners worldwide .
Sometimes it happens, that the first contact with a new business partner is made through the online web or by phone, like it was the case with Mr. Sohil from Australia.
Later on, during a business trip it is the time, that both persons will meet each other for the first time.
Both persons arrange a location where to meet together (in the hotel, airport, restaurant, bar or in the own company?). Now it happens that Mr. Johnson is asking himself: How does his new business partner looks like? What are his interests? I hope that he will not give me chocolate pralines as a gift, because I am diabetic! Hoping that he is not vegetarian, otherwise it will be a mess with my planed dinner in a Steak house. Will he be happy if I will give him football tickets for the world championship?
>> Exactly here vicardo rules! Mr. Johnson decides therefore spontaneously to send to Mr. Sohil a vicardo-business card online, before they meet each other. During the same day Mr. Sohil replies to Mr. Johnson very positive and look: also he receives a vicardo-business card from Mr. Sohil! Incredible, but both are sharing the same hobby: playing Golf! Both arrange therefore a first meeting during a golf match.
Since this first meeting one year has gone now. In between there have been also several successful meetings. Between both companies it has been developed meanwhile a strong important business relationship, which have been build on trust and positive emotions between Mr. Johnson and Mr. Sohil. Mr. Sohil sometimes remembers back laughingly, that Mr. Johnson would have been extremely disappointed, if he would have received chocolate pralines….
Example 2:
Tini from Munich is a back office expert in a big mail order house. She is since nearly 18 years in daily contact with Chou Quint from Shanghai. Till some years ago by fax and phone, today also by e-mail. She knows that also Chou Quint is a back office person and is her contact person in Shanghai. Both are managing together very well, and they know exactly, that they will never have the possibility/chance, to meet together. Unfortunately Chou Quint left the company recently and has been replaced by Lhou Zheng. “I hope that Lhou Zheng will also be a pleasant and friendly contact person as Chou Quint was?”, is Tini asking herself.
On her first working day of Lhou Zheng, Tini receives a vicardo business-card. Look there, both she and herself have on the same day birthday and both have to children! Tini does not want to accept, that in 18 years of working together with Chou Quint, they never had the chance to do the same and send these kinds of information’s to her. She suddenly decides herself, to send a vicardo business card to both of them.

For what do I need vicardo? |

A: |
You need vicardo, if you want to send online your personal business card. This can have a business background/reason or you made a new web-friendship and you want to send them some personal contact data’s. |

Are my saved vicardo data’s for all visible in the Internet? |

A: |
No! The vicardo-database is not free visable in the internet. Only the receiver of your vicardo-business card has an access to the provided information’s you gave him/her. |

Is it possible that my vicardo-data’s can be googled, i.e. are these visible through search engines? |

A: |
No, your selected vicardo data’s will be send in form of a business card only to the receiving person you selected. This person has only a limited access to this link. |

Why does my sended vicardo has a period of validity? |

A: |
Through the validity you can secure, that your link cannot be distributed online and is also not reachable for thousand other persons. In addition it gives you the possibility, to make the link not valid anymore after X days. Search engines therefore do not have any chance, to find your data’s! |

How can I setup my vicardo individually? |

A: |
After you logged in successfully you have the possibility, to send between three pre-defined business card packages, in other words Basic, Extended and Complete. In Addition to these pre-defined packages, you can also create your own individual vicardo-business card. You by yourself can then decide what you want to send and what your receiving person shall not receive. |

I received a vicardo-Link, but I cannot see anything. |

In case that you received a vicardo-Link, and you have no view on it, it can be that your Link expired. This can happen, if you either exceeded the quantity of clicks, or the day limit. The only help here is a contact to the vicardo user.

What happens, if I modify or cancel my vicardo? |
|
A: |
In case that you already send a vicardo and the receiving person is still having access on it, all made modifications will be viewed at the same time to the receiving person. If you cancel your vicardo, the receiving person will not have anymore access on it, independently if the send vicardo still has a period of validity.

Are the designations inside the vicardo only in english? |
|
A: |
The descriptions/designations (Name, address, phone, etc…) will be shown in the language that you saved your vicardo business card. This can be selected during creating or modifying the business card, on the upper part. It is also possible to save more business cards in several different languages.

The registration is free, simple and happens through an encrypted connection.

Create a digital business card
In the twinkling of an eye you can create your "vicardo"-business card.
Independently, if you create your first or other vicardo, you are in the menu level "my vicardo". On this page you have to click on the button "create a new vicardo".
The following input field is opening for your new personal "vicardo"-business card.

1.
Saving name of the business card
Before you can start, you should think about what name you want to save your new business card. Examples therefore can be: "Tina vicardo (german)" or "Tina vicardo (english)" or "Lisa (english)".
>> Hint: You have every time the possibility, to create additional business cards at your convenient.

2. Insert a photograph
By clicking on the button "modify photograph", you can insert your personal photograph. You simply select your desired photograph file on your computer and upload it on the server. Our suggested optimized size is: 140 x 185 pixel.

3. Insert the data’s
The area of the packages "BASIC", "EXTENDED" and "COMPETE" are visible through different gray scales and named on the upper right part of the input field.
This shall show you, which data’s will be send, if you will send in future your vicardo, according to your selection.

4.
Select the design
After having inserted all data’s, you will have the possibility to select a suitable design that is fitting to you. You therefore have the choice of several different designs.
5.
Save the vicardo-business card
Click on the button "create my vicardo", finished.

Change the vicardo basic data‘s
Precondition for this, that you modify your vicardo-data, is to have at least one inserted business card.
Click on the menu "my vicardo"
The following menu appears: |

Proceed now as follows:
- Select the vicardo-business card from the list, you want to modify (on the above example red marked)
- Click afterwards on the button "modify my vicardo"
- The selected vicardo business card will open. Now you can do all modifications, you want to do.
After you made your modifications, click on "save my vicardo"

Precondition for this, that you modify your vicardo-data, is to have at least one inserted business card.

- Click on the menu "my vicardo"
- Select the vicardo business card from the list, which you want to send (on the above shown example red marked)
|

>>Hint 1: If you selected by mistake the wrong business card, click on the next window on the link "select other vicardo".
>>Hint 2: If you want to see a preview of the selected vicardo-business card, just click on "my vicardo preview".

- There are two options, how you can send your vicardo:
|
| |
|
Option a) Send the vicardo through your own e-mail, or
Option b) send the vicardo through the vicardo homepage.
|
|

|
Option a) Through the own w-mail address
If you decide to take this option, vicardo will create a link for the receiving person, which you copy and paste in your own e-mail address you are going to send.
Proceed as follows:

In the next window you select the period of validity of your vicardo (more detail to the period of validity, just click here).
After the selection, click on the button "create".
Now you can mark the created link with your mouse. By clicking on the right mouse button, select copy. You can also copy the complete text with the security advices, in order the receiving person handles your information’s carefully.

Now you can paste the copied link in your new e-mail on your browser, by clicking of Ctrl+V on your keyboard, and afterwards send it. |

Option b) Through the vicardo-homepage
If you decide to use this option, you can send the link together with an e-mail to the receiving person, directly through the vicardo-homepage. vicardo gives you here the feature, that any answer of the receiving person, will go automatically to your e-mail address, you entered on it!
Proceed as follows:

Insert here the e-mail address of the receiving person, your own e-mail address, the reference and any text - if desired.
In the lower part you select the period of validity of your vicardo (more detail to the period of validity, just click here )

Individual vicardo
The individual vicardo is used, if you want to select the data’s, and do not want to send to the receiving person the pre-defined options Basic, Extended or Complete.
With the individual vicardo you can decide by your own, which data’s of the vicardo have to be send – by clicking on it! |

Period of validity of the sended vicardo
Each prepared vicardo, which has to be send, needs a period of validity. This will not allow an uncontrolled distribution in the internet and the stable saving of your sensible data’s through search engines.

| |
|
You can decide between two types of validity. Either a period of up to 300 days or the link is valid up to 30 clicks.
|

|
|
|
|
|
